This is the little second cousin to my children, isn’t he cute. My work is done as a Stoneville newborn photographer. He was such a well behaved baby. Maybe the feed followed by a long drive to my studio made him the perfect amount of tired! Because of this, we managed to transition him very smoothly between the bean bag poses. This resulted in lots of angles and also the little details.
As you can see, a lot of these poses are not something a baby would achieve on their own. Therefore, we have to make sure that the newborn is so tired that their limbs flop so we can curl them up. They are often this tight inside the womb. That’s why they can stay curled up so tight. It’s one of the reasons that newborn photographers want to photograph your baby in the first two weeks. This is when bub is still kinda used to being balled up and doesn’t like stretching out just yet.
We also keep the room quite warm as this is also womb like. It is 37 degrees inside the belly. Newborn babies just love to be warm. And as I mentioned earlier, a baby belly full of milk will help the newborn to stay sleepy. These are just some of the tips to prepare for a great newborn session.
