This is the very first time I have been to Lake Claremont as a family photographer. I actually don’t think I have been to this part of Perth before ever actually. I obviously only made it to this gold course but it was really beautiful.
This little foursome will now be back in Japan. They moved here for work two years ago. The time had come for them to return home. I was initially asked to photograph them at the beach. Our sunsets are pretty special so I understand why. But then they decided to make it more personal. Mum and dad would come down to his park nearby every day so their big boy could play. It was a place that had extra meaning to them so I think it was the perfect choice. I believe the photos will be even more special if the setting itself brings back memories. Which is even more important when you are documenting a part of your life in another country.
