Mettam’s Pool Family Photographer

We had a very unseasonably warm autumn in Perth at the same time as the corona virus became known as a global pandemic. The weather was too good to sit indoors. We had not yet been asked to stay at home but I had taken my kids out of school early. So after our morning school lessons we went to this little cove I discovered. There was never any people at it. I thoroughly enjoying this time with my kids. But I did have in the back of my mind what a great spot this was for a Mettam’s Pool family photographer session.

When I was requested to do this family shoot at the beach I knew this was just the right spot for us. This lovely family of five had been living in Perth for a year but were flying back to the UK the very next morning. They wanted to capture the beautiful coastal living they’d experienced on the west coast of Australia so I was able to be their Mettam’s Pool family photographer. What a beautiful way to document their final day in Australia than with this beach sunset shoot. And didn’t they sky behave nicely for us 🙂

Seeing as these guys were definitely fully packed for their trip home, we did discuss wardrobe a little bit. The mum had matching shorts and shorts fore the boys. Jeans and a t-shirt for herself in the same colours. That left just here daughter in a pink dress. Her husband thought it was too catchy match y and I agreed. All we had to do was change up the shorts to varying shades of neutral. The little girls could keep her dress but I really think mum needed something to bring the colours together. Her dress was absolutely perfect. Don’t they look great as a family. Complimentary but not identical. Casual without being daggy so you’d be proud to have these images displayed on your wall 🙂
