Look at me, I can now call myself a Craigie Bushland Family Photographer! What a wonderful surprise when someone points out a cool new location that is close to home.
It has taken some time for me to stick to my guns but I now only shoot outdoors at sunrise or sunset. As mad football fans the sunset session was never going to work on a weekend so sunrise it was! I scouted out the location the week before and new the sun glowed through the trees about 15 minutes after sunrise. So we booked it in for early morning. I don’t like to get up whilst it is still dark normally but it is with it when you see the light in the resulting images. If you want more of my tips for getting the best of your family portraits, I have this page full of information.
It was grandads birthday so his daughters contacted me to get photos of the extended family as a present. You know I think capturing memories at any time is a great idea so I was all for it. And despite the early start to the day, look how awesome everyone looks. I didn’t even have to resort to bribery!
Craigie Bushland
I will actually link this location for anyone that is interested. Craigie bushland is a protected area with walking trails and timber steps like a mini Jacobs ladder for anyone looking for a spot of nature in Perth’s northern suburbs to do a workout.
