As restrictions loosen in Western Australia it is so nice to get back to being a Duncraig Newborn Photographer. I had the pleasure of shooting the newborn photos for their first born daughter three years ago. Now a little boy has joined the family.
Though they originally had ideas of all sorts of photos in props, the natural imagery was ultimately their favourites. So this time we knew we wanted a lot of photos of the family together. Followed by natural posing on the beanbag. Neutral colours were an obvious selection.
This little man was awake for a large chunk of the session. You wouldn’t know it though seeing these images. The camera fires at a fraction of a section so you only need that instant to capture the sweet baby poses. You can see the different facial expression taken milliseconds apart in this gallery. I think we eventually worked out that he really didn’t like being naked. Keeping him snug in a wrap was definitely the best idea.
A happy distraction was his big sister. What a character. She certainly loves her brother and was a real chatterbox. I was definitely kept entertained as we settled her brother.
