I went to Roleystone to capture Araluen Portrait Photography with the kids in tow. My first visit was in 2017. I fell in love with the place. If you have never been to this beautiful garden you should. It is open year round with different seasonal flowers in bloom. Click on the link to read all the details – Araluen Botanic garden.
We do not live that close (at all) to the area. It was a hot day so as soon as we finally arrived the girls wanted immediately picnic and to dance around the trees. It was bound to happen as I watch on as they danced across this log bridge. Yep, Dahlia at the back in the first image, fell straight into the little creek!! My goodness, we were only there for a few minutes. She is a carefree soul so she stripped her dress off to dry in the sun as we sat under the shade of the trees and ate.
The gardens were not in bloom as much as in 2017. That year I came later in the season. But with the trees, running water and beautiful garden beds filled with tulips it is always magical in spring. We even caught the little train around the place. This year we were too busy enjoying for me to capture any Araluen portrait photography besides these few photos.
