So guess who is 40, that would be me! My birthday plans changed with a world wide pandemic sweeping the globe but I am still spending time with the ones I love which is the best part by far. And because I can, a 40th birthday cake smash to mark the occasion. My lovely sister took my photos and we even managed to work through light failure and finished the photos with a mechanics continuous light. My husband doesn’t think I am funny at all so he is surprised ny my attempts to be silly 🙂
If you didn’t know, we have a large family of six. Our little boy will be two in August. As I have stopped breastfeeding I feel it’s an age where he doesn’t need to entirely rely on me. So we decided last year book our first family of six holiday for my birthday. I did my research and found that a cruise would be excellent value for money. Even though I don’t like boats at all, I thought a short weeks trip along the Queensland coast would be awesome. Especially as there is so many kids activities on board.
I was actually getting about this new type of travel and then Covid 19 hit us! Living in Perth we saw the most cases in people stuck on cruise ships. It took a while for the cruise lines to work out how long we would be in lock down but eventually I got the confirmation our trip was cancelled. YAY! I must admit if it was still to sail I wasn’t too keen on going considering the circumstances!
